Rachel Wittenberg, A.I.M. (Arts in Medicine), is a dedicated Program Coordinator in Volunteer Services at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. With over two decades of experience as a parent, volunteer, and employee at the organization, Rachel brings a deep understanding of the needs of patients, families, and medical staff. Her passion lies in utilizing the power of art to facilitate healing and transformation.
In her role, Rachel oversees a team of hospital volunteers and spearheads the planning of art-related events for patients and families. She also fosters collaborative partnerships with Emory Pediatric Residents, leading events that support both resident staff and the patients they serve. Drawing from her graduate program in Arts in Medicine from the University of Florida, completed in 2016, Rachel firmly believes in the profound impact of arts in the healing process.
Rachel's unwavering belief in the therapeutic benefits of art fuels her commitment to creating programming that alleviates anxiety and stress, fosters a sense of normalcy, empowers individuals to regain a sense of control, and aids in accepting challenging realities.
