Renee Dryfoos, LCSW, MBA is an executive clinical leader for a large public community behavioral health provider in Metro Atlanta.  She has over 40 years’ experience as a clinical social worker across a continuum of care settings. In her current role as Chief Clinical Officer, she works to ensure individuals with mental health and substance use challenges receive high quality person-centered, recovery-focused and trauma-informed care.

Renee started her yoga journey 30 years ago when she sought out the practice to assist her in managing asthma and anxiety.  She has practiced for many years and in 2022 she completed yoga teacher training at Kashi Atlanta Urban Ashram. Renee is a RYT 200 and currently studying for 300-hour certification. She also holds a 100-hour meditation certification. Renee has an acute understanding of the connection between a healthy mind, body and spirit and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.  Renee is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and brings her trauma informed training to her Yoga teaching as well.

COVID brought many challenges to the healthcare field, including those working in behavioral health.  As more individuals sought out counseling and therapy and more people found themselves in crisis, the behavioral healthcare staff became overwhelmed with the increased acuity and volume of people in need. The last few years have been very stressful times for healthcare professionals and Renee looks forward to bringing her trauma informed clinical and yoga skills together to provide compassionate resources to decrease burnout and provide hope to those who passionately help others.
